Hello! I'm planning to claim plot hook #1 of the month - There is a bounty on a rogue vampire. The vampire has defected from their nest and is turning innocent people without permission. They have created a violent gang terrorizing the streets. Reward: £2000 - and would like to hash out some details with you if you're interested!
I was thinking of trying to accomplish this through semi-peaceful or non-violent means. (No killing, etc.) Lillian is hoping if she helps with this, it could give her an opening to find allies within the Nest! Also because the whole terroising innocent souls is not cool.
And, of course, is it alright if I added you on Plurk for future discussions/plot talks?
Hello!! Oh man yes, I would totally be interested in plotting this with
you! (And my plurk is lycanthropy101 for
further conversation through whatever means you would prefer, feel free to
friend away!)
Turning people without permission definitely goes against the rules of the
Nest though, so this vampire is no longer officially "Islington".
Jean-Claude likes to make it clear that this sort of behavior is Not
Tolerated. Especially he's pretty soft in other areas, he needs to make it
clear that his rules are there to be followed and that there are
consequences for not following them. I'd be interested to hear your ideas
on how this might be accomplished through semi-peaceful, non-violent means,
though! /PULLS UP A CHAIR
I added you on plurk now!! Since this got pretty long and won't fit in plurk easily, here's what I have so far for this plot:
I was thinking that the vampire behind this mess is one of the few ones left that are frustrated that Raymond was disposed off since they liked his way of ruling things (AKA anything goes) hence the defection. They'll be attempting to recklessly make their own vampire faction and are doing so by quickly turning many as they can get their hands on to serve as mooks/foot soldiers. So that means a lot of the new vampires are innocents/probably unawares, many only following the vampire in fear of getting hurt/killed and are being kept in the dark about the Nest's existence. So if the vampires are separated from their sire and learn there's somewhere else they can turn to for support/help, they'll be willing to give themselves up and there's good old menacing intimidation to make them back down.
How will she incapacitate the vampire without killing them? Easy! By creating a homemade shrapnel bomb made of wood and exploding it on them while they're really, really close to each other. That should keep them down!! (This is going to hurt her of course but hEY SHE'S BEEN THROUGH WORSE THIS MONTH. SHE'S GOING TO DRINK VAMPIRE TOXIN JUST IN CASE THIS FAILS 'CAUSE I'M GONNA RNG HOW MUCH THIS WORKS.) Either way the vampire is distracted and that's when fae minions + vampire minions come out of their hiding spots to apprehend the weakened/distracted vampire when the chance presents itself.
She'll ask JC for help via requesting some of the vampire minions so it's easier to corral the newbie vampires and apprehend the bad guy. There will be emphasis to not hurt the newly turned to avoid raising (any more) attention.
So my plan is basically:
- Investigate the string of assaults and deaths that include supporters of the East End Pack or something just so there's a hint it's a vampire doing this and someone who shouldn't be dead (doesn't fit the pattern somehow) because they accidentally found the hideout.
- Find the exact location of the hideout.
- Alert the Nest and JC to this and say she has a plan to get the group without it drawing too much attention from the others. Since she's a fae she will ask for something in return since it's in her nature but she won't ask for out-and-out a favour or promise for help. (Maybe the chance to help the newly turned adjust to their new lives and stuff? JC and the others do have a lot to contend with after all so she can help out with this too, free of charge! Just definitely something that will give her an angle to get involved with Nest activities for sure.)
- Draw the group out somehow.
- Separate the vampire from their gang
- Incapacitate the vampire and then turning them over to the Nest so they can choose what happens to them. (It'll be non-violent for the newly turned and it'll be semi-peaceful because the vampire isn't dead for real!! (Yet but that's the Nest's choice hey.))
I was thinking it'll happen either at the height of the scandal so the vampire can take advantage of the media/community is focusing only on the witches or during the elections in an attempt to try and make Jean-Claude look ineffectual as a leader with the attacks.
Let me know what you think about all of this since I'm still trying to plan this out. Especially when it should be happening or where the hideout should be! I'm pretty flexible in regards to that and definitely everything else here. \ o /
Hey! Just letting you know that I'm planning to claim the plot today so wanted to see if you have any thoughts about when it should be happening and stuff!! o /
HI SORRY weekdays are hard for me sometimes my bad
I think that all looks pretty okay? It does make JC look kind of incompetent, the fact that this rogue vamp was under his nose, but then again that was the point of the plot itself so that's not your fault haha. He would want this problem taken care of as soon as possible, though he would appreciate her turning them over to the Nest for punishment yes. Especially so that he can make an example of them himself. He doesn't need to look incompetent and then have the fae doing his work for him in the end, you know? He'll be happy to bargain with her, but he's pretty smart. He won't give up too much.
Not a problem! I get the pains of weekdays. ; w ; o /
And ooooh - That's a good point. I don't want to make things difficult for you down the line with the implications this could make so just in case! How about this bit-
Maybe Jean-Claude finds out about this ahead of Lillian? So he's doing his own separate and private investigation when it's brought up to him that Lillian is trying to solve it and is making progress on it? (Like I'm sure he'll figure out the identity of the vampire waaaaay ahead of her but she's starting to connect the dots after having so little to work it! She's Trying.) So they get to meet, talk it out, and he agrees to let her solve it and give her a hand to capture them after she vows to let him and the Nest choose what happens to the baddie.
Let me know if this work for you because besides this bit, I'm cool with everything else here! I get that JC will be careful with bargaining with a fae of all beings so I promise that Lillian's requests/suggested offers won't be too much. o / I'll probably make this during the height of the scandal too because wheee all the events. I'm going ahead to grab the plot now!! Super excited for this.
Sounds good to me!! C: he will probably have a track on it but you know,
especially with everything going down at that time there is only so much he
can do at one time. He would appreciate the help, so long as it meant a
swift cleanup of this potential mess that would be a PR nightmare,
especially since he's about to be leading into campaigning for President.
